There will be three big shows! Show times are at 8:00 p.m. on Friday and again at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturday. Doors open one hour prior to show time. Reserved ticket prices are $11.50, $18.75, and $25.50 with a $2.00 discount for children twelve and under. All tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 5, 2002. The Rolling Thunder Monster Truck Challenge is the first of its kind to play in NIU’s new 10,000-seat arena, which also brought legendary comedian Bill Cosby and popular rock groups Counting Crows and Jars of Clay to DeKalb. “Monster Trucks is a great family event,” said Joe Coots, director of marketing and corporate sales for the Convocation Center. “Fourteen foot high trucks and freestyle motorcycles jumping over mounds of dirt and old cars is a great experience.” Coots added. “We are excited to come to DeKalb and be the first Motorsports event to take place in the new arena”, says Rex W. Post Director of Booking of Torgerson Motorsports. Torgerson Motor Sports Monster Truck Challenge has WOWed thousands of spectators of all ages.
